I'm Andrew Revering, a weather nut as long as I can recall. My first experience with weather came from watching the local public access weather channel and trying to figure out how weather worked. One of my first attempts at forecasting was noting that low pressure seemed to roughly follow the temperature contours on the maps on TV. Although this isn't entirely accurate, the rest of my youth was attempt after attempt to 'figure it out on my own'. Mostly self-taught with a few years of college, I got better at forecasting with time.

In 1995 I started storm chasing both as a hobby and professionally for a couple storm chase tour companies as well as for the local ABC affiliate. To date I've seen about 60 tornadoes, and worked very hard to forecast almost all of them. A couple of my more memorable chases include the F4 that stuck Kansas City with Joel Lampe, the June 24, 2003 South Dakota outbreak where I saw 10 tornadoes with Meteorologist Rob Koch and the Twister Sisters (Peggy Willenberg and Melanie Metz) and an F4 that stuck near Quinter, KS on May 23, 2008 with legendary storm chaser Roger Hill.

I am equally interested in hurricanes and significant winter storms. Being from Minnesota, weather here is some of the most drastic in the world. I'll never get bored of it!
